Crow of Khaede is one of the three protagonists of ''Forlorn Saga'' and the central figure of its first installment. He is a sentient Undead – a deceased man having come back from the dead, whole in both body and spirit, yet retaining no memory of his former life. He is introduced to the reader after years of wandering Perinian lands adjacent to the Red Forest, having settled in the small village of Khaede. There, living in poverty under the extortion of local innkeeper Tedrick, he is trying to make a home for himself. The state of undeath is a source of constant anxiety for Crow, as upon being found out, he’s been driven out of various other locations with pitchforks and torches in tow. | |||
